Ekiti State bans traditional festivals

Ekiti State Government on Saturday coordinated customary rulers in towns to stop for the remainder of the year, every local celebration in order to check the spread of Coronavirus. 

The Chairman of COVID-19 Task Force Response Team, Prof Bolaji Aluko, made the declaration in an announcement in Ado Ekiti. 

He revealed that Ekiti State had aggregately recorded 78 positive Coronavirus cases, with 29 dynamic, 2 passings, and 47 released, cautioning that the cases can rise drastically if open gatherings proceeded with unchecked
