Nigerian Senate tells Service Chiefs To Resign

Nigerian Senate on Tuesday said the service chiefs should resign due to the rising rate of insurgency in in the country.

This appeal was made in the upper legislative chamber followed by a move sponsored by Ali Ndume, Senator representing Borno South and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.

 

The lawmakers are all due for retirement,

But President Buhari has kept them in office till now.

Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, in his remarks said though the army was trying its best to secure the country, the effort was not enough.
