A husband has been slammed as 'insecure' and 'controlling' after he scolded his wife when looking through a steamy photo album she created for him.
The man explains that he was 'pretty excited' when his partner told him that she had a surprise for him and handed over a booklet.
Opening it, he discovered that inside were a collection of n.u.d.e and seductive snaps, which he describes as 'fantastic photos of her'.
It all looked like the present had been very well received until he asked his wife a simple question.
"I was pretty happy with it until I said that they were good and asked if she took them herself," he wrote. "She said no.
"I asked if the photographer was a woman and she said no again.
"I was annoyed that she didn't even talk to me about it. She just seductively posed in front of some random guy.
"Before anyone asks no I do not say she can’t get massages or anything like that - the difference is a photo shoot involves seductive posing and is inherently meant to be sexual where as a massage or a sauna or something is just sitting there.
"I told her she should have talked to me about this beforehand then and that I don’t want her posing for some guy.
"She said that I should be happy and that I’m being a d**k. I said that I’m happy with the photos themselves but it's the way she did it I’m upset with.
"She got mad and went for a run."
After opening it up for debate on Reddit, opinion was split as some criticised him for his reaction.
One replied: "Stop being so controlling. Your wife surprised you with some sexy snaps, and all you can focus on is who took them?? Get over yourself mate."
A second said: "She was posing for you not him. Assuming he was a professional photographer, it wasn’t anything more than a professional interaction. She was trying to be thoughtful for you."
But others came to his defence, arguing his response was justified if he felt like she had overstepped the mark.
One wrote: "She crossed a standard boundary within most relationships. He's allowed to be upset/insecure by it. If the roles were reversed, I guarantee you'd be singing a different tune."
Another said: "She got n.a.k.e.d and posed for another guy. If you're okay with that then it's fine, but don't let these nutjobs try and shame you for having a problem with it.
"It's quite reasonable to not want your wife to pose n.a.k.e.d for other people. The fact she says the pictures are for you doesn't change anything."
